Who owns this app

Adult Services by MyKey is developed and owned by MyKey Consulting Services LLC, based in Bothell, Washington. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean MyKey Consulting Services LLC. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Not connected with any agency

MyKey Consulting Services LLC is a private company. This app is not run by, approved by, or connected with the Social Security Administration, Medicaid, Vocational Rehabilitation, a developmental disabilities agency, a school district, or any other government agency. The app cannot apply for services for you, cannot see your records, and cannot decide whether you qualify for anything.

What the app is, and is not

The app is an educational support tool. It offers a checklist, a contact list and a next-steps list to help a family get organized for the move from school to adult services.

  • It is not legal, financial, benefits, medical, educational or therapeutic advice.
  • It supplements, and does not replace, an IEP, a transition plan, or guidance from agencies and professionals.
  • Agency names, services and rules are different from state to state, and they change. An item on a checklist may not fit your situation or your state.
  • Checking a box in the app does not apply for a service or start a deadline. You are responsible for your own applications and deadlines.
  • Before you make a decision about benefits, guardianship, work or housing, talk with a qualified person, such as your school transition team, the agency involved, a benefits counselor, or an attorney.

Not for emergencies

Do not use the app to get help in an emergency. If someone is in danger, call 911.

Free to use

The app is free. Nothing is sold inside it, and no account is needed.

Your notes

What you type is yours and stays on your device. We do not have a copy and cannot bring it back if it is erased or your device is lost. Keep your own copies of anything important. The app is not an official record.

Using the app the right way

You agree that you will not use the app to break the law, and that you will not try to break, overload, copy or take apart the app.

Our work

The app belongs to MyKey Consulting Services LLC. This includes its design, text, checklists, artwork, and the MyKey name. You may use them for your own personal, family or educational use. Please do not copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

Copyright concerns

If you believe something in the app copies your work, email hello@mykeyplans.com with your name and contact details, the work you believe was copied, where it appears, and a statement that you are the owner or act for the owner. We will look into it promptly and remove content where that is right.

Accessibility

We want this app to work for everyone. Our Accessibility page explains what we do and how to tell us about a barrier.

The service as it is

We provide the app "as is" and "as available", without promises that it is complete, correct, current, or always available.

To the fullest extent the law allows, MyKey Consulting Services LLC is not responsible for missed deadlines, lost, reduced or delayed services or benefits, lost notes, or indirect or incidental losses that come from using the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to $100. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using the app after a change, you agree to the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
